The International Nights represent one of the main events in the project WANDERLUST. This event is being organized in cooperation with the bi-club and we4you since the the winter semester of 2011/12.
The main idea behind is to invite international students to prepare their traditional dishes once every month, which visitor can try by paying a small contribution towards the expenditure of the whole evening.
In addition, the international students get the opportunity to showcase their country‘s culture and tradition by decorating the venue, showing photographs or by organizing a cultural program with music, dances and traditional clothes.
Our goal is to promote intercultural integration between students from different countries hence promoting feelings of mutual understanding, tolerance and friendship while on the other hand bridging gaps by removing any existing prejudices.
The event takes place once every month at bi-club.
After presenting countries like Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Columbia and Japan in the last semester, the following evenings are planned for the current summer semester:
- 14.04.14 – International Night – Syria
- 12.05.14 – Mediterranean Night – Spain + Italy
- 28.05.14 – International Night – Romania
- 23.06.14 – International Night – Australia
For the remaining period (incl. the examination period) we have planned International Nights about India, Bangladesh and/or one of the ERASMUS partner countries
