A road trip through the land of lochs, mountains and castles …

Be captured by the spirit of Scotland!

Flyer wanderlust lecture on ScotlandShortly before the exams you probably wish to take a rest somewhere else, at some place farther away than just a four-hour ride from Ilmenau. For saving money and time ISWI is offering the compromise which will let your mind wander to the pearls of Scotland.

You might associate this country with whisky, bagpipes, kilts, haggis (that very interesting Scottish dish), oil production, the sheep ‘Dolly’, rocks (the Highlands), lochs (the obligatory monster, aka ‘Nessie’, included) and a rough climate. [Some might even think of Irvine Welsh, Ewan McGregor and ‘Trainspotting’ or optionally Mel Gibson and ‘Braveheart’ – although Mel Gibson is no Scotsman.] But it is much more than that. 🙂

The student Fabian travelled together with his friend through Scotland for three weeks amongst a society being concerned about independence. He will take you on a journey to this delightful spot and share his impressions. Listen to the anecdotes, learn more about personal encounters and immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape for a couple of hours. (The presentation will be held in English.)
