Hans-Dietrich Genscher, patron of ISWI 1993
We would also like to commemorate the former German foreign minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, who passed away last Thursday at the age of 89. As Patron of the first ISWI in 1993, with the motto “Become friends – unite the world”, he stood by our side with his words and actions and, in this way, helped us to realise our vision of a platform where students from all around the world can come together and discuss current global issues and challenges in a free and open atmosphere. Without his support, the success of ISWI, in the form in which it still exists today, would not have been possible. For this we would, once again, like to offer our thanks and our condolences.
