Since winter semester 2011/2012, we are going live on air every other week with “hsf international”. This english-language radio show is a joint project of ISWI e.V. and hsf studentenradio e.V. (the TU Ilmenau student radio).
For every show, we invite international students of the TU Ilmenau who are interviewed about their home countries and their experiences of living in Germany.
It is a live platform to talk on a very personal level and the listeners get first-hand information on various countries, other cultures and experiences of different people.
They also get to enjoy music throughout the show. Guests usually choose and bring the music that they feel represents their countries – this adds spice to the talk and provides another way for experiencing the variety of cultures.
Directly following the talk is the music show “worldwide music” (since summer semester 2014). It completes the 90 minutes talk show with a 30 minutes insight into the music of the world.
In every show, one to two artists of the genres Roots, Folk and World music are introduced to the audience and their music is presented.
Both shows are broadcasted in English language which enables the intercultural dialogue and exchange.
