To get to know the roof of the world and its culture I decided to go to Nepal as a teacher. There, I had the chance to work in an amazing landscape between countless gods, demons and very warm-hearted people. I want to tell of my Nepalese everyday life, my encounter with the living goddess Kumari, the festivals, wonderful people and much more.

Recently, Nepal was hit by a heavy earthquake. Therefore, this presentation will not only give an insight into a beautiful country but is also meant to collect donations to repair the damages of my former school and my former home, a small orphanage. Both suffered from heavy damages – deep cracks can be found on all floors. My little Nepalese brothers and sisters with whom I lived for several months in the orphanage have to sleep outside with my host mom, the orphanage’s director. The earth is still shaking and the house that used to be a safe shelter became a dangerous potential trap.

Support Nepal!

Within the scope of the presentation I want to collect donations for the amazing charity organisation Kids in Kathmandu Nepal (http://kidsinkathmandu.com/) whose founder and chief I know personally. Among other projects, the organisation supports the school and the orphanage as well as 29 of its students and children.

I would be happy if you would join the presentation and donate. If you can’t come but want to donate please feel free to directly transfer your donation to the account of the ISWI e.V.:

Account holder: ISWI e.V.

The donations will be transferred collectively on 20 May 2015 (first-time) so that they can help as soon as possible.
